Portable Installation

Since 4.40.0311 version DAEMON Tools Pro has a portable installation. Portable installation means that you can:

• Have an installation on an external medium (USB flash drive)
• Plug in to any PC as is according to Note.
• No need to change the setup.
• Run and work from external medium if you are using Virtual Bus driver.

Installation

1. Install DAEMON Tools Pro
2. Connect your removable drive.
3. Use the above mentioned tool for copying the folder of DAEMON Tools Pro. By default it is "C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Pro". Right click on destination folder and select from context menu Send to → select inserted USB flash drive.

Now you have portable installation on your USB flash drive.

This method doesn't preserve the user's settings. It means the user interface, file associations, structure of Image Catalog won't saved on the USB flash drive. Also, the gadget and shell extensions functionality can't work with portable installation.
Note: If you have installed program on an x32 bit system then you can use the portable installation on the same based system only.

Using

Internet connection is required for successful activation the portable installation of DAEMON Tools Pro.

• Connect the drive with your laptop or PC
• Open it and find the folder of DAEMON Tools Pro. Run the DTPro.exe
• If you have made portable installation from paid license the warning about invalid license will appear. Just press on Continue button and activate license as usually (see Activation). And note, you have to click on Revoke button in your account to get access on other PC (if you don't see this button, click on the Show details button).
• Give it an access to program and wait while the first virtual driver is being installed.
• Restart your PC if you have received corresponding warning.

Note: Don't use at the same time DAEMON Tools Lite and portable version of DAEMON Tools Pro.
Well, now you can use DAEMON Tools Pro.
